Sculptural Goldwork Dragonfly: May 23rd - June 13th, 2026
Registration coming soon. Sign up for the waitlist below to get first access.
Join me a four-week, online course focused on creating a sculptural goldwork dragonfly. This class blends traditional goldwork and stumpwork techniques, offering a unique exploration of texture, movement, and depth. You’ll learn to harness the sculptural qualities of stumpwork (with a few twists), using innovative techniques that make the wings rise off the fabric. As we explore the enchanting details of this insect, you'll gain expertise in crafting intricate textures with goldwork threads and three-dimensional effects and by the end of the course, you’ll have a one-of-a-kind embroidered dragonfly ready for mounting.
Please Note: This is an intermediate course and I recommend having some goldwork experience. If you have never tried goldwork before, I recommend taking the Goldwork Sampler class first. This is offered online as a digital workshop (work at your own pace) and is being taught live January 31st - February 7th, 2026.
Some stitching outside of class may be required. (Each day’s work must be completed in order to move onto the next steps)
The workshop will run via Zoom and will be recorded. The kit is included in the cost of the course and will be shipped 2-3 weeks ahead of the workshop. An email will be sent at that time with joining instructions.
Materials: All necessary materials for stitching will be included in the kit. However, students will need metalwork scissors, and may find a mellor/stiletto, and stitching stand helpful.
Part 1: May 23rd, 2026 2:00pm - 5:00pm GMT
Part 2: May 30th, 2026 2:00pm - 5:00 PM GMT
Part 3: June 6th, 2026 2:00pm - 5:00pm GMT
Part 4: June 13th, 2025 2:00pm - 5:00pm GMT
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: April 11th, 2026
If you have any questions about the class, please feel free to reach out at hello@michelleagnew.ca. I hope to see you there!
A note on U.S. and International orders: At this time, I am unable to take on the administrative task of managing duties and taxes for international orders. Please note that local duties/taxes/tarrifs will apply on arrival in the destination country. If you are registering for a workshop, the value of the package will be the cost of the kit and not the entire cost of the class. Should you have questions, please feel free to drop me an email and I will do my best to assist you.
